MAMAN 𐄁 [noun] a (name for one's) mother

Ever since I was a little girl, I imagined a life with an apron on and a whisk in one hand. 

I graduated from college with a degree in applied psychology and shortly after dove straight into the event planning world. As an event planner I am meticulous in nature, which is the perfect trait for bringing macarons to life.

 

While 2020 was a terrible year for most, I was fortunate enough to reconnect with one of my truest loves - baking. Being pregnant in a pandemic was never something that I thought could be a reality but I took those lemons and literally made lemon meringue macarons. My husband joked that I would go into labor and still need to finish whatever pastry I was working on that day. When Cecilia was born in May I took a break from baking and dove straight into being her Mama. It's true when they say that being a parent is the best job in the world.

My father passed away in late 2020 and the only comfort I could find was in baking.

So I picked up my whisk again and baked... and baked... and baked.

And Macaron Maman was born.

If I'm not cooking, baking or planning an event you can probably find me somewhere between changing a dirty diaper and sitting on the couch eating pizza.

I am a total crazy cat lady and I have two crazy cats, Fiona + Olive. I love coffee (or as I call it, mama juice). I love Coldplay and even traveled to France to see them play the Stade de France in 2017.
